Welcome

Burlington Electric Department shares the values of the residents who have voted for energy efficiency programs, who have supported a clean power mix and who have expressed a desire to move forward into the 21st century in a manner that is sustainable and will provide future generations the chance to enjoy Burlington and its beautiful resources as the current generation does.

Energy Engage, part of BED's Smart Grid project, is an on-line tool for customers to learn about their energy usage in 15-minute increments (updated every eight hours). Chris Burns, director of Energy Services, provided "Energy Engage" slides of his home energy usage to show customers what they can learn. It is a very handy tool to help you understand and reduce your energy usage. Take a look at Chris's "Energy Engage" Slides Please scroll down to see all five slides.
