The Burlington Electric Department (“BED”) is responsible for electric distribution services to its customers within the city limits of Burlington, VT and the Patrick J. Leahy International Airport located in South Burlington, VT. BED seeks to address technology obsolescence and establish a next generation, utility-focused Geographic Information System (“GIS”) platform by transforming BED’s legacy Esri GIS platform to Esri’s modern ArcGIS Utility Network (“UN”) platform.
The purpose of this UN Implementation RFP #039-26, is to request Proposals from qualified Bidders to oversee, coordinate and execute the implementation and configuration of the UN and the migration of the BED’s existing GIS to said UN. This new platform will be used as a foundation to support the optimization of core GIS-based engineering, operations, inspections, maintenance, production, and construction-related processes, technologies and data.
